Testimonial Request

Instructions:
The best person to ask for a testimonial is a happy customer. Asking for testimonials from someone who is only so-so or doesn’t like what they’ve purchased from you could backfire. Consider putting this campaign in place 2-3 weeks after sending a feedback survey to your customers. And only send it to those who gave you a positive response.

[CONTACT’S NAME],

At [NAME OF COMPANY], there is one thing we have recognized…our company would not exist without people just like you. You trusted in us and believed in our ability to provide you with [TYPE OF SERVICES OR PRODUCTS YOU PROVIDE].

Now that you have proven to yourself that this was a great investment, we would like to ask something special of you. Everyone likes to hear a success story. And we would love to hear what you have to say!

If you don’t mind, take a minute and think about how your journey started:

  • What got you to take the first step and contact us?
  • Was your process hard at first or did it just click?
  • Did you have others supporting you in your efforts?
  • Tell about your successes

[LINK TO FORM: Yes, I would love to share my story (or a brief testimonial)!]

What you have to offer is invaluable to someone who is just starting this journey. You could be the encouragement they need to take that first step.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Lots of people are willing to give you a testimonial. They just don’t know what to say. Consider showing them some of the testimonials you’ve received from other customers.

[CONTACT’S NAME],

We were looking through some of the success stories we received at [NAME OF COMPANY] and realized we haven’t read yours. So we were hoping we could convince you to send us your testimonial.

If you’ve benefitted from our [PRODUCTS OR SERVICES] we’d love to put that information on our website and in our marketing materials.

Here are some ideas of what to share:

  • Where you were before and where you are now
  • What some of your roadblocks were and how you overcame them
  • What your interaction with me and my team has been like
  • What you think of our [PRODUCTS OR SERVICES]

Anything you want to send us, we would love to have.

If you are in close contact with your customers, you might even offer to call them up and write down their testimonial for them. If you choose to do that, you can write something like this as a P.S:

“If it’s easier for you to tell me your story or give me a testimonial directly, please feel free to call me at xxx-xxx-xxxx.”
