Cross Sell - Services

(Basic and Incentive Based)

Contents:

Basic: 2 Emails

Incentive Based: 2 Emails + 1 Incentive Email

Instructions:

Basic:

  • This is a great campaign to put in place after you’ve had your customers complete a survey and they’ve indicated they’re happy.
  • This campaign only suggests someone makes another purchase from you. If you want to incentivize them with a special offer, check out the incentive version of this campaign.
  • There are only 2 emails in this campaign. If you’re not offering an incentive, 2 emails is probably enough to send. Then, follow up with an educational sequence whether they buy or not.

Incentive Based:

  • This is a great campaign to put in place after you’ve had your customers complete a survey, and they’ve indicated they’re happy.
  • This is the incentive version of the Cross Sell Campaign. If you don’t want to use a special offer to close more sales, then you should try the Basic version.
  • The “special offer” is written as a discount and provides the customer with a coupon code. That does not have to be your special offer. You can easily modify the copy to match whichever incentive you choose.

Subject Line: How others are [SOLUTION YOU PROVIDE]

Send: 2 days after email 1

[CONTACT’S NAME],

A few days ago, I sent you an email suggesting you try our signature service [NAME OF SERVICE]. My opinion was based off your purchase of [LAST SERVICE OR PRODUCT THEY PURCHASED]. But I’m afraid I didn’t give you a very good reason to think about it.

Let’s fix that now. Here is what some of our customers had to say about [NAME OF SERVICE]:

  • [TESTIMONIAL 1]
  • [TESTIMONIAL 2]

Ultimately, what this service does is [SOLUTION YOU PROVIDE]. From what I know about you, that might be right up your alley.

Pro Tip:

In your subject line, you need something to really grab your prospect’s attention. Your subject line should be as specific and beneficial as possible. It might look like this:

“How others are gracefully managing their thinning hair”

Pro Tip:

In the “solution you provide” section, you want to focus on a benefit that is different from the service they already have. Maybe one that would be more appealing. It might look like this:

“...what this service does is realign your spine and then gives you the tools you need to regularly self-adjust - allowing you to always function at your best.”
