Black Friday/Cyber Monday

Sale or Incentive Version

Contents:
  • 2 emails for the “Sale Campaign”
  • 2 emails for the “Incentive Campaign”
Instructions:
  • With these two days being the biggest shopping days of the year, your emails need to stand out. Take the time to design a message for your contact list that is bright, exciting, and different.
  • This campaign was designed to work for either Black Friday or Cyber Monday, so anytime you see {BLACK FRIDAY/CYBER MONDAY} in the body of the email, simply choose the day for which you are advertising.
  • This campaign includes two different options. You should choose which one works best for your company:
    • [SALE CAMPAIGN] The first is simply an advertisement campaign for your BF/CM sale. It includes 2 emails that should be sent as a sequence.
    • [INCENTIVE CAMPAIGN] The second DOES NOT advertise a sale.  Instead, it uses a giveaway incentive. Giveaways and contests can inject even more excitement into BF/CM shopping if done well. The incentive does not need to be big, but anytime you give away something FREE, you draw attention to your business. You may choose to give away a small product with a minimum purchase, a coupon for a percentage off, or a free download online {ebook, printable, guide, etc.} to every customer. Another idea is to offer an entry into a drawing for a free product or dollars to spend in your store. This allows you to make the “gift”  larger, while controlling the amount you will spend on the giveaway.
  • These emails should be sent as a sequence in the tradition of Black Friday advertising: Email 1 should go the day before your sale/incentive begins, with Email 2 going out the day of the sale/incentive. This allows people to “plan” their purchases from your site along with their other Black Friday shopping.
